Kevin is a Commissioner with the City of Napa Parks, Recreation and Trees Advisory Commission and one of the founders of Friends of Westwood Hills Park. He moved to Napa in October 2013 after 19 years in rural Calaveras County, where he and his wife built a passive solar adobe house, solar water pumping system, and extensive gardens on 13 acres.
Kevin was a board member of the Calaveras County Human Resources Council, Calaveras Healthy Impacts Product Solutions, and the Calaveras County Solid Waste Task Force.
For three years, he mentored in the Napa Valley College (NVC) Puente Program and tutored mathematics at NVC for 3 semesters. Kevin has been the sole proprietor of an engineering consulting business throughout California since 1994, and retired in July 2020. As a licensed Mechanical Engineer, he has provided client support for implementation of the EPA and OSHA requirements for accidental release prevention of extremely hazardous substances.
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (UCD), bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resources Engineering (Humboldt State University), and an M.B.A. from California State University, Stanislaus. Kevin enjoys the outdoors, hiking, travel, music, art, theater, and bicycling
